Slow the signs of sun damage and aging

Living in sunny Florida, it is almost impossible not to get sun exposure, even if you are not purposely trying to. Sun damage not only causes skin precancers and cancers, but it is also the leading cause of the aging process in the skin. This includes fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots and uneven skin tone.
At Gardens Dermatology, we have many approaches and techniques to combat sun damage and aging. The first, and most simple, step is to apply sunscreen with SPF 30+ every morning before you leave the house. Even if you are driving to the office and not planning on spending the day outdoors, you are still getting sun through the car windshield and while walking from your car to your destination.
In addition, we offer many products and minimally invasive treatments to correct wrinkles, make brown spots disappear, and give a more youthful appearance. These treatments include lasers, intense pulsed lights, radiofrequency, micro-needling, and chemical peels to name a few. All of these procedures are done in the office and involve little to no downtime. We also offer facial injectables, such as Botox and Filler, to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and “plump” the skin for a more youthful appearance.
